Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is offering a limited number of work experience placements for students taking place in June and July 2026.
Expressions of interest will open online on Monday 9th February 2026 at 4pm. There will be a small range of placements available, so students are encouraged to apply as soon as the application goes live.
Placements will be offered on a first come, first served basis, and places cannot be guaranteed. Students must complete the application form via the Trust’s website once applications open.

Please note:
Only one application per student is allowed
If no response is received, students should assume they have been unsuccessful
Students should be patient while applications are reviewed
Students who secure a placement will be required to complete an attendance register during their placement, signed by their placement supervisor. This will need to be returned to the school’s careers team for verification. Once confirmed, the NHS Trust will issue a certificate of completion.
If students are unsuccessful this year, the Trust is also planning an Insight into NHS Careers event later in the year, giving another opportunity to explore careers within the NHS.
