School Attendance Manager

Contract:          Permanent     TERM TIME only

Start Date:       As soon as possible depending of clearances  

Salary Scale:    Band E    Starting Point 18    £24, 982    pro rata for term time only

We are seeking to appoint a School Attendance Manager who has a passion for making a difference to children’s lives and work as part of a pastoral team and in collaboration with the assistant headteacher Director of Behaviour, Attendance and Attitude to develop closer links between school and home.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the operation of Wood Green Academy.

 

The successful candidate should be skilled in child protection, counselling and first aid.

Teacher of Design and Technology

Start:                   January 2022

Contract:            2 terms fixed Spring and Summer 2022 – Maternity Cover

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and well-qualified teacher of Design and Technology. 

 

As an academy, we are over-subscribed and consistently achieve some of the highest results in Sandwell. In our most recent Ofsted of February 2020 the school was judged to be good with outstanding features. We are extremely proud of being one of few secondary schools in the country to have been graded as outstanding for behaviour and attitudes under the new Ofsted framework. We have an excellent location being less than 15 miles from the centre of Birmingham whilst having excellent national links via both the M5 and the M6.

 

As an enthusiastic and committed teacher, you would join a welcoming, highly trained, and very supportive Design and Technology department.  The department is managed by the Head of Design and Technology. The Design and Technology department has great experience in successfully mentoring both ITT trainees and ECTs.

 

The Design and Technology department is housed in a dedicated area of the school. Each classroom/ workshop is well resourced.

Senior Lunchtime Supervisor

Salary Scale:         Band C £19,312- £20,493 pro rata for hours

Contract:               Permanent    TERM TIME only

Contract Hours:   6.25 hours per week, 12:45pm – 2:00pm Monday – Friday

Start Date:             October 2021 (TBC) subject to clearances.  

Closing date:         9am Monday 18th October 2021

 

Interviews will be held shortly after that date.

 

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lunchtime supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the operation of Wood Green Academy. We are looking for an individual who has the required knowledge and experience to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of the role.
