SHAPE Your Talent 2023 is a talent competition for young people aged 8-19 year olds (up to 25 for young people with additional needs) who live, work or are educated in Sandwell.

The Stages of the competition
- Application Stage – Application Forms – Applicants will complete an online application form here, or a paper one that can be collected from Sandwell Libraries from December 2022. Online applications will close on 17 March 2023, 12pm and paper application forms will need to be submitted by 3 March 2023, 12pm.
- Stage 1 – Live Auditions – Applicants will be invited to audition in one of the six towns within Sandwell (preferences submitted as part of the application stage will be accommodated where possible), in front of a live judging panel.
- Stage 2 – Public Online Voting – Successful acts from the live auditions will be filmed at Coneygre Arts Centre, Tipton (date to be confirmed). These videos will be posted on the SHAPE Events YouTube channel for the public to view and vote. The 1st and 2nd acts from each age category who have the most votes will automatically go through to the final. The 3rd and 4th acts will be chosen by an independent judging panel.
- Stage 3 – The Live Final – Finalists will perform at the SHAPE Your Talent Final at Sandwell College, with a stage and a full sound system etc. The winner of each age category will receive a £500 cheque.
