Message from Year 7 Student

I know that it can be hard leaving your primary school and the move to your new school can be daunting but there is nothing to worry about as you will be welcomed here at Wood Green and you will have many opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. 

There will always be someone there to help so don’t be afraid to ask for help.  We’ve all been where you are now and I know you will soon settle into life here at Wood Green.

During your time at WGA you will have many opportunities to experience new things like learning a new language, conducting exciting scientific experiments, designing and making things on the 3D printer, trips away to Edgemond Hall as well as after school clubs including table tennis, football and gymnastics to name but a few.

WGA staff want you to reach your full potential and to do this you may need to try new things and challenge yourself, but staff will always be there to help you along the way.  Yes there is homework, but it is only there to help you achieve your best, to achieve your goals and to ace your exams.

At first it may seem like a strict school with perhaps more rules than you are used to, but you will soon get used to it and learn to understand that it’s all about respect, respect for each other, respect for the teachers and the school.

As you dig deeper into your first year at Wood Green Academy you will see that your new school is like a big family where we all fit in, we are a community and a school that we are proud be part of and we look forward to meeting you all in September.
