Vapes continue to be a concern at school.

Locally we have recently seen several cases of hospital admission in young people because of synthetic cannabinoid exposure from vaping devices. In addition, investigations in Merseyside, Kent and the North East have revealed the presence of controlled substances and Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS) in vapes confiscated from young people. Between 2021 and 2024, secondary schools in England have reported a 411% increase in ambulance callouts related to vaping incidents.

During personal development we continue to raise our concerns in the hope students to make wise decisions.
