Beginners 2 Runners Group
The Active Wellbeing Society is launching a free 10-week running course designed to help improve your running and build your confidence in a supportive environment.
Starting on Monday 30th May at 9:30am, the sessions start at Lightwoods Park and House (B67 5DP) by Bentley the Bear and is open to all skill levels, with the ultimate goal of helping participants work up to 5K. Places are limited. If you’re interested, please contact: sandwellags@theaws.org

Carers Week Activity – Coffee Morning for African Caribbean & Dual Heritage
Please see the poster below for more details about the West Bromwich African Caribbean Resource Centre’s Coffee morning, to be held on the 9th June from 10am-1pm at their centre in West Bromwich (B70 6LY)
This event will provide an opportunity for African Caribbean and Dual Heritage unpaid carers to:
- – Meet other carers and share experiences
– Identify key issues affecting them and access support from WBACRC and Forward Carers (Sandwell Carers Hub)
-Speak directly with African Caribbean Carers Champions, helping ensure their voices inform local commissioning and service design
– Contribute to the development of a new African Caribbean & Dual Heritage Carer Support Group/Forum, in partnership with Black-led organisations and faith groups
Exhibitors on the day will include Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation, Oscar Sandwell, and Forward Carers.
