It gives us great pleasure to announce that our student Yusuf Halim has officially won the UK Youth Parliament election with a truly outstanding result.

Yusuf secured a landslide victory with an incredible 4,070 votes, an achievement that reflects the strength of his campaign, his commitment to representing young people, and the trust placed in him by voters across the borough. We are especially proud to share that Wood Green Academy recorded the highest voting turnout in the borough, demonstrating the passion and engagement of our school community.

This result is a powerful endorsement of Yusuf’s message and his determination to speak up for young people on the issues that matter most to them. His success shows what can be achieved when young voices are encouraged, supported, and given a platform to lead real change.

We could not be prouder of Yusuf and everything he has accomplished. This is a remarkable milestone and the beginning of an exciting journey as he goes on to represent young people at a national level.
