Course Overview
This course really focuses on the vocational aspects of Business so you will find a lot of teaching is based on case studies, application to a variety of different businesses, visiting speakers, role plays and visits to industry. You need to ensure that you are prepared to follow through the course for the entire two years. This will result in achieving the relevant A Level equivalent qualification upon successful completion of the course at the end of Year 2.
Foundation Diploma in Business: Single Award:
You must complete 5 units over the two years (3 mandatory (M) and 2 optional (O) units)

Entry Requirements
Entry Criteria:
All students studying a Vocational Level 3 course should have at least five GCSEs at grade 9 – 4 (A* – C) in academic subjects, including English Language or English Literature at grade 4 (grade C ) and Maths at grade 4 (grade C).
Special Entry Requirements:
Students must be prepared to work long hours outside lesson time to regularly review the topics covered.

Work experience placement
Alongside their studies all students will be supported to help find a suitable work experience placement related to a career in an industry they are interested in e.g. retail, sales and small businesses.
Progression Route
This pathway is particularly suitable for students who wish to pursue careers in various private sector industries: retail, banking, leisure and sales.
This qualification will also give pupils some background knowledge should they wish to set up their own business. Giving them the skills and knowledge to become budding entrepreneurs.
