The Wood Green Way – Be Kind is all about learning what kindness truly means and how we can show it every day.

In this video, we explore simple, meaningful ways to be kind, from small acts of respect to supporting one another in our school community. We also highlight what we do at Wood Green Academy to promote kindness, showing how our students and staff work together to create a positive, supportive environment.

Kindness isn’t just an idea, it’s something we practise, share, and grow.

From mindfulness and crafts to games and day trips, there’s something for everyone. It’s a great chance to try something new, meet new people, and make the most of your Easter break.

For the activities on offer from SDCA, please note that it is aimed at children and young people aged 8 to 17 years who live in the Sandwell area and are D/deaf, Hard of Hearing, or cochlear implant users.

Bookings are now live. To book your child(ren) onto the sessions, you will need to obtain a council-issued (Sandwell Council) unique HAF code or e-voucher via your child’s school or by email/text before the holidays.

We are pleased to share that the Free Kellogg’s Breakfast Initiative at Morrisons cafés is returning this year.

Even better, the programme has been expanded and will now run throughout all school holiday periods, including half terms, with the aim of giving away more than 100,000 free breakfasts to families across the UK.

During every school holiday, families visiting a Morrisons café can simply ask for a “Kellogg’s Breakfast”, which will be provided completely free of charge. The offer is available in all 343 Morrisons cafés nationwide.

Each free breakfast includes:

A bowl of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies

A choice of dairy or soya milk

A free portion of fresh fruit

This initiative helps ensure children have access to a nutritious breakfast during the school holidays, and we encourage families who may benefit to take advantage of this fantastic offer.
