Starting secondary school is an exciting time for both students and their families, and staying up to date with what is happening at school is an important part of the transition to Year 7.

Class Charts is Wood Green Academy’s main communication tool for students, parents and carers. Through Class Charts, you can keep up to date with important information about your child’s school life, all in one place.

Using the Class Charts website or app, parents and carers can access information including:

• School announcements and important updates

• Homework and learning information

• Attendance information

• Behaviour points and achievements

• Other important information and updates from school

All new Year 7 students will receive their Class Charts account code in school. Students should use this code to set up and access their own account.

Parent and carer account codes have been sent to the primary email address(es) provided during the digital admissions process. Please check your inbox, including your junk or spam folder, if you cannot find your account information.

If your child has any problems accessing their student Class Charts account, they should speak to their Form Tutor, who will be able to help.

If you need support signing up or getting familiar with Class Charts, you can use the Class Charts Parent/Carer Guide, which provides step-by-step guidance on using both the website and app.

We encourage all parents and carers to set up their Class Charts account as soon as possible so that you can stay connected and informed throughout your child’s time at Wood Green Academy.

• – What life in the Sixth Form looks like and our shared expectations

• – The importance of attendance and how we support independent study

• – Practical ways you can help your child enjoy a smooth, successful transition

We would like to make you aware of a range of online mental health and wellbeing information sessions available through Face Family Advice. These sessions are delivered via Zoom and cover a variety of topics designed to support parents and carers in understanding and supporting their children’s emotional wellbeing and mental health.

Please note that the Academy does not currently hold a school membership with Face Family Advice, so we are unable to facilitate access directly. However, families may wish to explore the available sessions independently and decide whether they would like to access these opportunities themselves.
